Glorious singing in glory of the Almighty

Chennai is a one of the comfortable, probably the most comfortable home for the ancient Carnatic classical music.  There was an inter-school bhajan competition organized by SGS ashrama that helps These competitions are the easiest way to help children get access to the simple bhajans that are, in reality, a storehouse of sacred knowledge and a trove of musical genius. These competitions are organized frequently in many places including Bangalore and Hyderabad and the response from students and teachers has been very encouraging. 
Musicians from Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysore, Vidwan Sri. Jaitra Varanasi and Vidwan Sri. Mani Narasimham, accompaniments of Pujya Sri Swamiji graced the event and blessed the students.

On October 23rd, SGS ashrama volunteers and management arranged for Deepawali celebrations by distributing presents, gift vouchers, and sumptuous food to nearly 500 underprivileged and orphaned children. I take great pride in being associated with such devotees who think beyond their personal benefits and work towards the success of Sri Swamiji's mission.

Amidst Vedic chantings and the Jayakarams, Sri Bala Swamiji meets Sri Jeeyar Swamivaru and wishes him on this auspicious occasion of the sacred 60th Birthday celebrations. He has conveyed Pujya Appaji's Message, Blessings and enquiries to Sri Jeeyar Swamiji. After being introduced by Sri Jeeyar Swamy to the gathering there, Sri Bala Swamiji delivered His Benedictory address.

Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji visited Dattaavadhuta kshetra, SGS ashrama in Dundigal, Hyderabad. Hundreds of devotees performed Samuhika Anagha Vratam in in Sri Swamiji's presence. In addition to this main event, Pujya Sri Swamiji offered prayers and aarati to all the deities in ashrama and performed Srichakra puja. Several other events on the agenda such as inauguration of the book stall and release of IMax theater tickets for a film on Parama Pujya Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji's unique Navavarana puja during Navaratri festival packed Sri Swamiji's agenda. After blessing thousands of happy and satisfied devotees, Sri Swamiji headed to Nizamabad, the next holy destination in the series of places Sri Swamiji will be visiting during His tour of the state of Telangana.
